Lixie Dead Blow hammers, mallets and sledges are constructed from malleable iron or spark resistant hi-tensile aluminum. Hollow head castings are partially filled with steel shot that moves forward toward struck surface on impact, dampening rebound and insuring optimal blow transfer.
